The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including angels, demons, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of heroes who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the developments of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—used the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their status as key figures in House Halovar could help the party access areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This means them no alternative but to head to the remote area in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Viewers can expect learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
